So much to say

by Amy Cubbison on April 14th, 2009

So much to say………..I have so much to say about our lovely vacation and all of the cute things that were said and done, not to mention all of the creative and peaceful thoughts and ideas that came to mind. I did jot a bunch of notes down to slowly bring back the memories.
As you can probably tell by my first writings, it was a very wonderful family, happy vacation. It was much needed. Everytime I go away to relax not like the party ho downs with work, or party girls) I realize just how much I need it, we need it, and how important time off is. I came home feeling so peaceful. I had so many wonderful Gem-in the moment times, with my kids. I felt as if I did not need or want for anything-except my abs a few years ago. I need to get more definition and I will. I will highlight a few things that occured from our trip each day and keep writing each day.
First off some bad news, is that pilates is not working for me. My lower back is really hurting again and has been for days. I need to quit it. The good news is I will save money and that is leading me to do a lot more yoga which makes me feel so good and get so lean-or lean for me.
The first day of the trip, the kids had packed by six in the morning. OFcourse they hardley packed anything very important but toys. Kaylee did manage to bring clothes since she is such a clothes diva. Then on the trip there they were so excited. It was priceless to see that. The only thing that was not so priceless was them asking when we were going to get there and this was the longest trip of their life.
Upon arrival of the hotel the kids were so happy to see it. Kaylee exclamed,”This is the most beautiful place on earth-thank you Mommy and Daddy.” We had three free nights from Neil’s credit card points and Marriot, rewards. We were not going to use them and stay at my friend Cami’s home in the desert. Then we thought we will just go there to eat and hang at the free hotel with our groceries. It was so well worth it. THey had so many complimentry activities for Easter-it was like a kids playland. You could even hire the “Easter Bunny,” to tuck your children in at night. I said,”Okay we will and then say goodbye to the Easter bunny and we will be back in two hours.” Ha ha. Actually I can’t think of anything more horrifying for a young child to be tucked in bed by a huge bunny.  Then Kaylee wanted to go to her Suite at the hotel. She asked if we would have a servant waiting? OMG. She thinks she is London Tipton from Disney, who resembles Paris Hilton and her father owns the hotel. Not. ha. It was cute though. She was so complimentry and in sheer delight with every little thing the hotel had to offer. She is such a joy.  She is such my mini me. I gave her my old pink, non working phone and she was chatting on it the entire vacation. I heard her say,” Hello darling, Do you want to have lunch at Rimel’s this week?” “Okay sounds good Doll. ” I asked her, who she was talking to and she said,’OH Loretta.” It was a riot and scary at the same time . I really have no need to worry because her insides are so beautiful and caring, even more than her exterior behavior.

The first night, the kids all ditched me in bed, and stuffed cotton balls in their ears. I guess I had a bad case of the snores, that night, and also the rest of the trip talked on my phone in my sleep. I guess that was withdrawls from not using it the entire trip. I liked it, I also feel like I have rid the Facebook wave and relaxed with that. What the heck is this twitter thing? Do people have to be in contact every second of everyday???

    Dear Amy,

I ordered a shirt for my wife over a month ago and it has not arrived. It is listed as payment pending but my credit card shows the charge on the 18th of last month. I emailed the company about it via the Contact Us page but never heard back. Please send me a phone number for your customer service department.
